Tube and Font of your choice

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of your psp program and working with layers.

Remember to save often.

You can use this arrow to help you keep your place =)

Open a new canvas 500 x 500 pixels; 72ppi; transparent background.

Open up your tube.
Pick a darker color from your tube as your background. I used: #AA4B6E
Pick a lighter color from your tube as your foreground. I used: #FCE0F8
Minimise your tube.

Flood fill your canvas with white.
Rename this layer 'background'.
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with the lighter color.
Effects -> Plugins -> Mura's Meister -> Clouds.

Layers -> New Mask Layer -> From Image -> Fantasy-mask.

Layers -> Merge -> Merge Group.
Rename layer 'clouds'.
Adjust opacity to 60%.
Add a new raster layer and move below 'clouds' layer.
Flood fill with white.
Layers -> New Mask Layer -> From Image -> Fantasy-mask.
Layers -> Merge -> Merge Group.
Rename layer 'white'.
Add a drop shadow to your 'white' layer.
I used V&H=0 O=75 B=4 color=#000000

Open your tube -> copy -> paste as new layer onto your canvas.
Duplicate.
Rename layers 'tube bottom', 'tube top'
Adjust opacity of 'tube bottom' to 50%.

Resize if required; 'resize all layers' OFF; 'smart size'.
I left 'tube bottom' at 100% and resized 'tube top' to 80%.
Move 'tube bottom' and 'tube top' using my finished tag as reference.
Make 'tube bottom' the active layer.
Apply inner bevel as shown below.
Repeat for 'tube top'.

Now is a good time to apply the copyright information, your license number, watermark, etc.
The copy right symbol is created by holding alt and pressing 0169 on the number pad.
I use pixelette set at size 6, stroke and anti alias off.
For the name I used Fairydust; size 100; Bold; Foreground = #AA4B6E; Background = #FCE0F8, then applied the inner bevel (shown above) and the same drop shadow as used on your 'white' layer.

I'd love to see your creations, you make from this tut, so send them to me HERE, remove the [nospam]
and I will display them in my gallery.
Remember to be copyright safe.

Here is another version using the art of Jasmine Becket-Griffith
