Soft As Silque![]() This tutorial was written by, and is copyright to, Kia ~ 5th April 2007. Please refer to my TOU The image used in this tutorial is © Barbara Jensen. Please do not use her art unless you have a license to do so. License/Tubes can be purchased at http://www.eroticartistgallery.com. This was written in psp 8 but should work in any version. For this tutorial you will need: Paint Shop Pro Plugins Xenofex 1 Supplies created by Kia Place the selection into your selections folder and the brush into your brushes folder {If you don't have xenofex 1, just use your eraser brush to distress the edges a little} Tube and Font of your choice This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of your psp program and working with layers. Remember to save often. You can use this arrow to help you keep your place =) ![]() Open a new canvas 500 x 400 pixels; 72ppi; transparent background. ![]() Open up your tube. Pick a mid/light color from your tube as your foreground. I used: #E5DADE Pick a mid/dark color from your tube as your background. I used: #C5A7B2 Minimise your tube. Set your foreground to gradient foreground/background as shown below ![]() Flood fill your canvas with the gradient. Adjust -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur -> Radius 50. Rename layer 'Background'. Add a new raster layer. Selections -> load From Disk -> SoftAsSilque01. Flood fill selection with your lighter color. Do Not Deselect Rename layer 'Selection'. Open your tube -> copy -> paste as new layer onto your canvas. Duplicate x 2 (so you have 3 copies in total). Rename layers 'tube bottom', 'tube middle', 'tube top' ![]() 'X' out 'tube top'. Move 'tube bottom' and 'tube middle' using my finished tag as reference. Right click on 'tube middle' and select 'merge down'. Click on your 'Selection' layer. It should still have marching ants. If it doesn't go to Selections -> Load From Disk -> SoftAsSilque01. Selections -> Invert (Or Shift:Ctrl:I) Click on 'tube bottom' layer and hit delete. Selections -> Select None (Or Ctrl:D) Right click on 'tube bottom' layer and select 'merge down'. Effects -> Plugins -> Xenofex 1 -> Distress using the setting shown below. ![]() Apply a drop shadow. I used: V&H = 0; Opacity = 25; Blur = 5; Color = #000000 Reduce layer opacity to 50%. Un 'X' your 'tube top' layer and position as desired (use tag as reference - I mirrored mine) Apply a drop shadow. I used: V&H = -1; Opacity = 25; Blur = 5; Color = #836772 Add a new raster layer. Apply the 'SoftAsSilque' brush - use tag as reference. I used color = #A78793 and clicked two (2) times. Now is a good time to apply the copyright information, your license number, watermark, etc. The copy right symbol is created by holding alt and pressing 0169 on the number pad. I use pixelette set at size 6, stroke and anti alias off. Go to Image -> Add Borders -> apply a border of 2px; symmetrical; using your darker color. Repeat border with your light color, and then one more time with your dark color. For the name I used Pristina; size 72; Bold; Foreground off; Background = #836772, then applied the inner bevel (shown below) and the same drop shadow as used on your tube. ![]() I'd love to see your creations, you make from this tut, so send them to me HERE, remove the [nospam] and I will display them in my gallery. Remember to be copyright safe. Here is another version using the art of Joel Adams ![]() Return To Tut Index | ||
