Please do not use her art unless you have a license to do so. License/Tubes can be purchased at http://www.creativeimagelicensing.com. This was written in psp 8 but should work in any version. For this tutorial you will need: Paint Shop Pro Animation Shop Tube and Font of your choice This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of your psp program and working with layers. Remember to save often. You can use this arrow to help you keep your place =) Open a new canvas 450 x 350 pixels; 72ppi; transparent background. flood fill white Open up your tube copy -> paste tube as 'new layer' You can now close your tube resize if required - I use 'smart size' when resizing. Duplicate tube layer rename layers as 'background'; 'blur'; 'tube' 'X' out 'tube' Make 'blur' active 'adjust' -> 'blur' -> 'gaussian blur' -> radius 10 'effects' -> 'distortion effects' -> 'twirl' -> degrees 720 Duplicate Make 'blur' active (not 'copy of blur') 'adjust' -> 'blur' -> 'gaussian blur' -> radius 10 Duplicate 'X' out 'background' 'layers' -> 'merge' -> 'merge visible' Rename merged layer to 'blur' Un 'X' 'background' layer Duplicate 'blur' x 2 (total of 3 copies) Rename layers 'blur 1'; 'blur 2'; 'blur 3' 'X' out 'blur 2'; 'blur 3' Make 'blur 1' active. 'adjust' -> 'add/remove noise' -> 'add noise' -> settings as shown 'X' out 'blur 1'; un 'X' 'blur 2' - be sure 'blur 2' is active Add noise as before but change to 30% 'X' out 'blur 2'; un 'X' 'blur 3' - be sure 'blur 3' is active Add noise as before but change to 35% If you have DSB Flux you can use the bright noise filter if you prefer. However, for the purpose of this tut I used only default PSP filters. 'X' out 'blur 3'; un 'X' 'blur 1' and your 'tube' layer. Add a drop shadow to your 'tube' layer I used V=-3 H=10 O=50 B=5 color=#A6315E Add your copyright info, license, watermark, etc on a new layer The copy right symbol is created by holding alt and pressing 0169 on the number pad. Convert to raster layer Rename this layer 'copyright' I use pixelette size 6 stroke and anti alias OFF Add your name on a new layer. Convert to raster layer Rename this layer 'name' I used: IceCreamSoda size=72 Bold; stroke=3; foregorund=#A6315E; background=#E8A7C9 (colors picked from tube) I applied the same drop shadow as I used for my tube This is how my layers look OK time for the animation! Open up animation shop {AS} In PSP with your layers selected as above right click your tag and select 'copy merged' (Shft:Ctrl:C) Go to AS and right click on the blank screen -> paste as new animation (Ctrl:V) Back to PSP 'X' out 'blur 1'; un 'X' 'blur 2' right click on tag -> 'copy merged' Go to AS, right click on the current image there; select 'paste' -> 'after current frame' (Shft:Ctrl:L) Back to PSP 'X' out 'blur 2'; un 'X' 'blur 3' right click on tag -> 'copy merged' Go to AS, right click on frame 2 (you may need to move the slider) and select 'paste' -> 'after current frame' For this tag we will leave each frame at the default of 10/100th second. To view your animation click on this icon 'file' -> 'save' (or hit the save icon) and save as '.gif' These are my settings in AS (Customise) Note: this tag does not have any transparency Click 'OK' -> 'Next' -> 'Next' -> 'Next' -> 'Finish' That's it!
